This is a blog about life in all its wild, beautiful, variegated, sacred, profane, often difficult glory. We can’t control what hand we’re dealt, what blessings we’re graced with, which piles of shit are shoveled upon us. All we can do is get through them. All we can do is figure them out. Keep loving, keep breathing, stay grateful, just go. F.S.O.
Hi Amy,
I heard your wedding rings piece on The Moth and really enjoyed your voice. I live in Columbia County and have had a lot of death in my life, but am quite happy about my life — the death is just part of the terrain and in many ways makes the living of life very precious.
I don’t have many blogs I follow but I think I’ll listen to you for a while and see how it goes. I appreciated the openness of your tale.
Regards,
Eric
Hello, Eric. I agree! You’ve put it so beautifully: “death is just part of the terrain.” As for being open, it’s all I got these days. Regards back, and thanks.
